Brennen's Baptismal Birthday

We celebrated Brennen's Baptismal Birthday today. The actual date was on the 15th but Danny had to work on that day so we waited until today to celebrate. We spent this special day with just the four of us. Celebrating Baptismal birthday's is a new tradition for both Danny and I so it is fun figuring out exactly how we want to do it. After going out for lunch, we sat down and followed a devotion from Danny's Pastoral Care Companion book while gazing at the flame from Brennen's baptismal candle. After the devotion was over, we prayed, blew the candle out, and ate some yummy cake. It was a very special time for us to reflect on the wonderful gifts the Lord gives us through his blessed sacraments.
