On Thursday, we went down to Denver to celebrate Cousin Joy's birthday. We had a wonderful day at the zoo. The weather was perfect and the animals seemed to be enjoying it as much as we were. After the zoo, we went back to the grandparents house to have naps, dinner, presents and cake. The boys were so excited to help Joy celebrate her first birthday and so were we. Happy birthday Cousin Joy!

Brennen was not a fan of the carousel. He cried the whole time. Poor boy!

This ape was not too happy when Patrick and Auntie Eden touched the glass.

This goose was one of the bravest geese I have ever seen. He or she waddled right up to our table and snagged an apple core.

Patrick helped decorate Joy's cake. He was so proud of himself.
