Disneyland Day 1

Our family took a long awaited trip to California at the end of May.  We visited with family and friends and also took the kids to Disneyland.  It was a wonderful trip!  I only wish we had more time.
Getting ready to take off!  Patrick was so excited!  He said all his dreams came true because he was flying like a bird.

Just outside the park.

We met Mickey as soon as we entered the park.
What a great way to start the day!
Walking down Main Street.
The first ride we went on was the Buzz Lightyear ride

Brennen thought it was a bit loud.  Although, he still says that this was his favorite ride.
Sleeping Beauty's Castle
The very spot where Danny asked me to marry him.
Our gift to the boys, Micky Mouse ears.

Goofy!
Pluto!
Minney Mouse!
Daisy Duck!
The boys each chose one thing to buy with the money from their piggy banks.  Brennen chose a stuffed Mickey.  Daddy was over on the other side of the park getting fast passes.  He had to leave and come all the way back to where we were because Brennen would not leave the store without Mickey.

Patrick's special pick was a parrot.  You can just see it on his shoulder.  His "thing" right now is birds.  All he could talk about leading up to our trip was getting a bird at Disneyland.  He originally wanted a peregrin falcon.  This parrot was the closest thing we could find.
Tarzans treehouse.  This was a favorite place for the boys.  They still
talk about it.

It was huge and really high!  The ultimate treehouse.
We went on many rides.  Some of our favorites were The winnie the pooh ride...

We got to ride in a bee hive.

The Tiki room was Patrick's all time favorite.

I think you can see why.  All those birds!
The tea cups

The carousel
Mr. Toad's wild ride...

The castle looks beautiful at night!

What a wonderful first day at Disneyland!
